Run Randa Run

AUGUST 3, 2024

Large (30/3000) - Medium (19/1400) - Small (9/900)

HYBRID FORMAT

This year we will combine an in-person group run on August 3rd with the collection of solo efforts at any time during the season.

THREE DISTANCES

You can choose to take on either the S (9km with 900m ascent/descent), M (19km with 1400m ascent/descent), or L (30km with 3000m ascent/descent) version, all of which start and end in the heart of Randa.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Regardless of the distance, your mountain journey will begin at the church in the center of Randa, after which you will ascend past the Chüebodmen on your way to the Europaweg and the first checkpoint at the Europahütte.   From there you will cross the 494-meter-long Charles Kuonen Hängebrücke, after which the S course will head back down to Randa, while the M and L courses will climb the alpine Kinhüttenweg to the second checkpoint at the Kinhütte. before descending back to the valley and the next checkpoint at the Schalisee.  From here the M course will return to Randa through the valley, while the L course will take on the significant ascent to the final checkpoint at the Weisshornhütte and the final descent back to the village and a celebratory drink at Treff 494.
